International Desk: Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said that the illegal occupation of Palestine must be abandoned. Palestine must be returned to its people. After establishing the Palestinian Authority, they will decide what to do with the Zionists.
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said this at a rally organized by thousands of teachers and intellectuals on Wednesday, May 1, on Teacher’s Day (the martyrdom anniversary of Martyr Motahari).
He said some people think that this step (returning Palestine to its people) will solve the problem. Even if the relations between Zionist Israel and neighboring Arab countries are normalized, the problem will not be solved, but the problem will be directed towards governments that turn a blind eye to Israeli crimes.
In that gathering, he referred to the spread of demonstrations in support of the Palestinian nation in the United States and other countries as proof that the Gaza issue is a priority in the world’s opinion.
Khamenei said that the issue has shown everyone that the United States is an accomplice of the Zionists in the unforgivable crime of killing the people of Gaza. Some of their seemingly sympathetic words are also completely false. Hence, the anti-US stance of the Islamic Republic and the reason for Iran’s inability to trust the US government have been proven.
He said that until Palestine is returned to its owners, the problems of West Asia will not be solved. If they try to sustain the existence of Israel for another 20–30 years like this, it will not be possible, inshallah. Still, this problem cannot be solved.
