According to a Hindustan Times report, the swimsuit fashion show was held on the second day of the inaugural Red Sea Fashion Week at the St. Regis Red Sea Resort on the west coast of Saudi Arabia.
In this show, the models participated in the show wearing the clothes of the Moroccan designer Yasmina Kanzal. Instead of veiled clothes, the models are seen in revealing swimming costumes.
The St. Regis Red Sea Resort is part of Red Sea Global and one of the so-called giga-projects at the heart of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 social and economic reform program.
There are several restrictions for women in Saudi Arabia. If you don’t comply, there are various punishments. The first-ever swimwear fashion show to defy the country’s restrictions has drawn criticism on social media.
