Dhaka Bureau: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has been admitted to the United Hospital of the capital due to a sudden illness. BNP media cell member Shayrul Kabir Khan confirmed this information.
He said that Secretary General Gulshan was in the office. He was taken to the United Hospital on Monday (February 20) around 12:30 p.m. because he felt sick there. Further measures will be taken as per the doctor’s advice. The Secretary General was taken to the Cardiac HDU of the United Hospital at 1:16 p.m.
Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir was admitted to Evercare Hospital in the capital on January 15. The BNP Secretary General returned home from the hospital on January 17 after a health check-up.
Then on February 10, Mirza Fakhrul went to Singapore with his wife. The 75-year-old politician was treated at Singapore’s National University Hospital (NUH). He returned home on February 16 after a five-day health checkup in Singapore.
