Mirza Fakhrul left his position with the government in 1986 and entered active politics. In 1988, he was chosen to serve as the first chairman of the Thakurgaon Municipal Council. Abdul Hamid Khan Bhasani’s party is in NAP, from the leftist politics of student life to Mirza Fakhrul’s national politics. He arrived at BNP from there.
BNP politics under Mirza Fakhrul originated at the grassroots level. Thakurgaon District BNP President in 1992 was the first. Later, he was elected as a member of the party’s executive committee through the sixth national council, Mirza Fakhrul senior joint secretary general, acting secretary general of the party since 2011, and full secretary general in 2016.
Before ascending to the top, he spent a considerable amount of time as the Nationalist Farmers’ Party’s first vice president and eventually its president.
