Dhaka Bureau: The pre-announced march program of the Dhaka Metropolitan South BNP on Thursday (February 9) has been postponed due to the loss of many lives in the earthquake in Turkey-Syria.
BNP Acting Office Secretary Emran Saleh Prince gave this information in a press release sent on Wednesday (February 8) night.
He said that due to the deaths of thousands of people in earthquakes in Turkey and Syria, the BNP’s march program in Dhaka on Thursday (February 9) has been temporarily suspended to express deep grief, condolences, and sympathy. A changed date for the walk will be announced later.
The march program announced by the BNP to demand 10 points of demands, including the resignation of the government, was supposed to start from the Gopibagh Brothers Union Club ground in Old Dhaka on Thursday afternoon and end at the press club via the party office in Nayapaltan.
