In the current situation, the party’s three affiliated organizations have entered the field so that the leaders and workers do not get involved in criminal activities. On the orders of the High Command, the top leaders of the organization have started a joint committee at the district and divisional levels to bring the leaders and activists under more accountability. At the same time, the Nationalist Youth Party, Swachha Sevak Party, and Chhatra Party started promoting the party symbol of rice grain. This information is known from party sources.
It is known that in the context of the students’ popular uprising, allegations of looting and encroachment were raised against BNP leaders and activists in various parts of the country. BNP High Command is embarrassed by these incidents. In this context, hundreds of activists were also expelled. From the beginning, BNP Acting Chairman Tariq Rahman warned the leaders and activists about corruption, looting, occupation, and torture. He also took a strict stand to protect the safety of people’s lives and property and party order. In the coming days, the top-level leaders are now conducting organizational activities to keep the party leaders and workers more alert and accountable. As an initial part of this, the three branches and affiliated organizations of BNP have started a joint committee across the country. Meanwhile, the three organizations of the nationalist party have started a joint committee meeting from Saturday. The central leaders of Jubo Dal, Svechchasebak Dal, and Chhatra Dal held a meeting in Sylhet, Chittagong, and Jhalkathi on the first day with the slogan ‘If we stay honest, reform of the country is possible’. Also, they will reach the grassroots with the strong message of BNP Acting Chairman to stay united by stopping the Awami League’s conspiracy, strengthening the organization, scrutinizing the organizational structure, and protecting party discipline. Apart from this, the top leaders of the three organizations will also take the opinion of the general public regarding the expectations of the Trinamool leaders and the BNP. Meanwhile, they will distribute leaflets containing grains of rice, the party’s election symbol, in the district from today. 3 organizations will distribute joint workshops and leaflets in other districts. However, this year’s leaflet does not contain any text or leader’s picture except for the symbol of rice grains and Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). The leaders said that after the joint committee, paddy leaflets will be distributed at the police station level of the respective district. In this context, BNP Standing Committee member Dr. Khandkar Mosharraf Hossain told the media on Saturday that BNP’s organs and affiliates have entered the field as part of the organizational process. Our organizational activities and goals are towards the upcoming elections. This is the characteristic of democratic political parties. He said those who are coming to the government now are neutral interim. They are committed to restoring people’s rights and democracy. The main right of the people is the right to vote. Hopefully, as soon as possible, this government will depart after establishing the people’s government through elections. That is why I have supported this government; I am still supporting it, and I am demanding very early elections. Along with that, our party and organizations will take organizational and election preparations.
Leaders of various levels of BNP said that the people of this country could not vote in the last 15 years. The young generation is averse to voting despite being voters. Many have not seen the ‘paddy top’ symbol on the ballot paper or ballot. Now BNP’s target is to energize the young voters and practice healthy politics among the activists from the center to the grassroots. The policymakers of BNP are also emphasizing qualitative changes in traditional politics.
