Dhaka Bureau: The Central Committee of Chhatra League has been announced. Saddam Hossain has been made the president and Sheikh Wali Asif Inan the general secretary. Bridges Minister and Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader announced this committee in front of Prime Minister’s official residence Ganobhaban on Tuesday (December 20) night.
Saddam, the new president of Chhatra League, was General Secretary of Dhaka University Chhatra League and AGS of Daksur. On the other hand, Inan was the organizing secretary of Central Chhatra League.
Saddam Hossain completed his graduation and post graduation from the Department of Law, University of Dhaka. He is the former General Secretary of Dhaka University Chhatra League. His home is Panchagarh.
Sheikh Wali Asif’s house is in Jhalkathi district. He also completed graduation and post graduation from law department of the university. He served as the former organizing secretary of Chhatra League and the founding president of Dhaka University’s Vijay Ekatar Hall Chhatra League.
Earlier, Obaidul Quader, the general secretary of Awami League, told the first session of the 30th National Conference of BCL at Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital on December 6, that the new committee of BCL will be announced before December 24.
Earlier the 29th conference was held in 2018. In July of that year, Rezwanul Haque Chowdhury Shobhan was appointed as the president of the Chhatra League and Golam Rabbani as the general secretary. When they lost their positions, Al Nahian Khan Joy became the acting president and writer Bhattacharya became the general secretary. They got full responsibility on January 4, 2020.
