The Crime Desk: Joint Secretary General of BNP Khairul Kabir Khokon said there is a demand to ban Awami League, but we do not want ban. We do not believe in prohibition politics. We don’t want to score on an empty field.
He said this at a workers’ rally organized by Union BNP at Karimpur of Narsingdi Sadar Upazila on Friday (October 25) evening.
Khairul Kabir said that the people of the country have seen how these Chhatra League leaders and activists have tortured the students who are protesting against the quota. An organization that talks about killing and torture against people has no moral right to do politics.
He said we want BNP to go to the polls in the coming days; people’s right to vote will be established, and they will exercise their right to vote. Because the people of the country could not exercise their right to vote for 17 years during the dictatorial regime.
Referring to BNP as a liberal political democratic party, he said BNP does not believe in terrorism and does not believe in the politics of revenge. We believe in human rights; we believe in basic human rights. BNP is the party of the people; it always comes to power with the mandate of the people.
