Dhaka Bureau: Jatiya Party’s main patron and opposition leader Roshan Ershad has returned home from Thailand after five months of treatment amidst a massive showdown. He returned to Dhaka on a Thai Airways flight on Sunday (November 27) at quarter past 12.
Roshan Ershad is accompanied by his son Rangpur-3 Member of Parliament Rahgir Al Mahi Saad Ershad and daughter-in-law Mahima Saad. Kazi Mamunur Rashid, joint convener of Jatiya Party’s 10th National Conference Preparation Committee and former presidium member and chairman of Ershad Trust, is also present.
Japa Chairman GM Quader and General Secretary Mujibul Haque Chunnu were not seen at the airport, but Senior Co-Chairman Anisul Islam Mahmood, Co-Chairman ABM Ruhul Amin Howladar, Kazi Feroze Rashid came to greet Roshan Ershad at the airport on his behalf.
Apart from this, the opposition leader was welcomed by the presence of the VIP lounge of the airport – former secretary general of Jatiya Party Mashiur Rahman Ranga, political secretary of the opposition leader Golam Masih, senior leader of the party Professor Delwar Hossain Khan, SMM Alam, former presidium member Fakhruzzaman Jahangir, former member of parliament and party chairman. Former Advisor Advocate Ziaul Haque Mridha, Former Member of Parliament MA Gofran, Former Member of Parliament Nurul Islam Milan, Former Vice Chairman Prof. Iqbal Hossain Raju, Former President of Jatiya Chhatra Samaj Moniruzzaman Titu etc.
