Gazipur Correspondent: Awami League leaders and activists say that the Awami League conference in Gazipur will take the form of a grand convention after the formation of the city corporation in Gazipur. The triennial conference of Gazipur Metropolitan Awami League will start at 1 pm in the big field of historic Bhawal Rajbari of Joydevpur. Meanwhile, the leaders and activists have started coming to the conference venue. A beautiful and attractive stage is made in the shape of a boat. A huge pandal has been made across the grounds.
All preparations have already been completed by the party to make the conference successful and worthwhile. From Tongi in the metropolis to Gazipur Bhawal Rajbari Ground, roads, alleys and streets have been given a new makeover in the promotion campaign of the conference. As soon as you leave the house, you will see huge billboards, banners, festoons and beautiful arches with pictures of leaders and workers.
General Secretary of Awami League and Minister of Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader will attend the conference as the chief guest. The conference will be inaugurated by Awami League presidium member Lieut. Colonel (Retd.) Muhammad Farooq Khan MP.
Awami League presidium member Advocate Kamrul Islam MP, Agriculture Minister Dr. will be present as special guests. Md. Abdur Razzak and the party’s joint general secretary and education minister Dr. Deepu Moni. Apart from this, Awami League’s organizing secretary Mirza Azam will be present as the main speaker.

Sajjad Hossain, former president of Dhaka University Chhatra League, current committee acting general secretary Ataullah Mondal, joint general secretary Matiur Rahman, vice president Afzal Hossain Sarkar, organizing secretary Mojibur Rahman, member Abdul Hadi Shamim, member of Awami League’s sub-committee on forest and environment are ahead for the post of general secretary.
