Dhaka Bureau: A general meeting of the BNP was held today to demand the resignation of the government. BNP leaders and activists have descended on the capital’s Nayapaltan since early morning in view of the mass rally. The grand gathering will officially begin at 2 p.m. The activists have occupied Nayapaltan Road.
The entire Nayapaltan area is full of slogans and processions. Since Saturday (October 28) morning, they have been coming to the assembly place with processions from different districts of the country. Party and national flags are adorning their hands. Nayapaltan, the capital, is already full to the brim.
Ghiyas Uddin, a BNP activist from Natore, said, “In the morning, we reached Dhaka with hundreds of leaders and activists.” I came directly to the assembly. Searches have been made along the way. Conquering fear, we came to the rally.

It should be noted that on October 18, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir announced a general meeting in the capital on October 28 to demand the resignation of the government.
