Dhaka Bureau: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir is returning home after ten days of treatment from Singapore. He is scheduled to land at Dhaka International Airport on Saturday (September 2) at 6 pm, said Shayrul Kabir Khan, a member of BNP’s media cell. Earlier on Thursday (August 31) at noon, Mirza Fakhrul confirmed the return of Bhor Kagazi over the phone from Singapore today.
He said, ‘Alhamdulillah, I am quite healthy. I will return to the country the next day.’ Earlier, Mirza Fakhrul received treatment in Singapore and the United States. He went to Singapore to discuss his physical condition with the doctor. Did a health checkup there again.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir went to Singapore for treatment on August 24. His wife Rahat Ara Begum also went to Singapore. Both are suffering from various physical problems. A few years ago Mirza Fakhrul was diagnosed with a block in the internal carotid artery in his neck. He also had problems with blood circulation in the arteries of his neck. He was then treated at the National University Hospital in Singapore.
Mirza Fakhrul had to go to that hospital in Singapore for medical follow-up. Wife Rahat Ara Begum also underwent a surgery at Raffles Hospital in Singapore. He also had to go to that hospital for follow-up. Mirza Fakhrul has taken treatment in Singapore before. He last visited Singapore on February 10, 2023. In 2015, he was diagnosed with a blockage in the internal carotid artery of his neck while in prison. After his release, he went to Singapore for treatment. After that, he went to Singapore every year for follow-up treatment.
