Dhaka Bureau: The Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has started the process of removing all the recent statements of BNP Acting Chairman Tariq Rahman from the Internet. They have started working after the instructions of the High Court in this regard.
This information was provided to the court by BTRC’s lawyer, Barrister Reza-e Rakib, on Tuesday (August 29). He said the High Court ordered to remove the speech of Tariq Rahman from online on Monday. We got the lawyer’s certificate yesterday. A team from the BTRC has started the process of removing Tariq Rahman’s speech from the Internet. Hopefully, it will be possible to remove all of Tarek’s statements online within a few days.
He said, We are waiting for the certified copy of the High Court order. On Monday (August 28), Justice Md. Khasruzzaman and Justice Md. Khairul Alam of the High Court bench ordered BTRC to remove Tariq Rahman’s speech from the Internet.
