Dhaka Bureau: Khaleda Zia is under “round-the-clock close observation” by doctors at the hospital. The BNP Chairperson’s personal physician, A Z M Zahid Hossain, confirmed the matter on Monday (August 14).
He said Khaleda Zia’s board of doctors has kept her under close observation all the time. The board of doctors is now meeting two to three times a day to review Khaleda Zia’s health condition and provide necessary treatment. Khaleda Zia is being treated in the hospital cabin.
Earlier, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam visited Khaleda Zia at Alamgir Hospital around 10 p.m. on Sunday. At that time, Mirza Fakhrul inquired about Khaleda Zia’s health and talked to the doctors. On August 10, Khaleda Zia was taken to Evercare Hospital for a health check-up. On the advice of doctors, he was admitted to the hospital that day.
