His Janaza was held on Saturday (June 10) at 10 a.m. at the National Mosque Baitul Mokaram premises. At the end of Namaz and Janaza, political and various social organizations paid tribute to this leader with flowers.
His body will be taken from the Baitul Mokaram premises to his ancestral home in Alipur village of Begumganj upazila in Noakhali district and buried in the family graveyard there. He was 82 years old at the time of his death.
According to family sources of Sirajul Alam Khan, he died yesterday (June 9) around 2:30 pm while undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College (DMH) Hospital. Earlier, Sirajul Alam Khan was admitted to Samrita Hospital in Panthpath with a respiratory illness on the night of May 7. He was admitted to DMK Hospital on May 20. When the condition worsened, he was taken to the ICU on life support around 11:30 on Thursday night.
