Dhaka Bureau: Awami League General Secretary, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will visit India in September. Before that, the Awami League delegation will visit India at the invitation of India’s ruling party, the BJP.
He gave this information at the ground-breaking ceremony of the Baroyarhat-Heyako-Ramgarh road widening project in the capital’s Tejgaon road building on Wednesday (May 24) morning. Indian Ambassador Prannoy Kumar Verma was present at this time.
The Awami League General Secretary said that our Prime Minister will go to India in September to attend the G-20 Summit. In between, we will have a party-to-party discussion. We have been invited by the BJP of India for that. We hope to go in July.
Addressing the BNP, he said, “In the name of movement, they (the BNP) will commit anarchy; they will commit terrorist activities; this is their old nature. So when it comes to dealing with it, the situation dictates what law enforcement should do or what their responsibilities are. We will deal with any political issue politically.
He also said that politics also has a language. In the incident that BNP committed two days ago in Rajshahi, they threatened to kill the Prime Minister himself. There is no reason to think that he (Rajshahi district BNP convener Abu Saeed alias Chand) is a petty person. He is the District Convener of BNP and a Member of the Central Committee of BNP. I was surprised that Mirza Fakhrul, who is the general secretary of the party, did not utter a word.
