City Reporter: CMP Pahartali police station arrested 8 people in connection with the double murder. Yesterday (Monday 08th May) in the evening the criminals were arrested in various places of Pahartali police station area. The arrested are Abdur Rahim, Biplab Mallik Prof. Md. Biplab, Rabiul Islam, Raihan Uddin, Md. Shamim, Sagar Dash, Rabiul Hasan Hriday and Md. Ilyach Mithu.
Officer in charge of Pahartali police station told The Crime, yesterday evening, in front of the gate of Zahoor Ahmed Chowdhury Cricket Stadium under Pahartali police station in the city, a man Sirajul Islam Shihab had an argument with his former acquaintance Rabiul Islam. Later in the night to resolve this matter among themselves, while everyone was standing and talking in Bitak Gali under Pahartali police station, suddenly some innocent and Sajeeb were stabbed from behind.
He said that when they got seriously injured due to stab wounds, people took them to Chittagong Medical College Hospital and the doctor on duty declared the injured Masum and Sajeeb dead. Later, Monir Hossain, brother of victim Md Masum, filed a regular case at CMP Pahartali police station.
In view of the case, several teams of Pahartali police station raided different places of Pahartali police station area and arrested Abdur Rahim, Biplab Mallik Prof. Md. Biplab, Rabiul Islam, Raihan Uddin, Md. Shamim, Sagar Dash and Rabiul Hasan Hriday involved in the conflict with the law.
On the other hand, with the help of DB (West) Division, defendant No. 1 named Ezahar Md Ilyach Mithu was arrested.
