Dhaka Bureau: The BNP has announced a new program. On March 11, the leaders and activists of the party will form human chains in cities and districts across the country.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir announced this program in a short rally on the eve of the march in Uttara on Saturday (March 4). This program has been given to protest against the abnormal increase in the price of electricity and the increase in the price of daily necessities, including rice, pulses, and oil, and to realize the 10-point demand.
Like-minded parties and alliances, including the BNP, are holding police stations to account nationwide.
In the afternoon, BNP took out marches in 99 police stations and eight places in the city. Among them, the program will be observed in 26 police stations in the north of Dhaka city, 24 in the south, three in Narayanganj, eight in Gazipur, 15 in Chittagong, four in Rajshahi, five in Khulna, three in Barisal, six in Rangpur, and five in Sylhet.
Besides, as there are no police stations in three cities, various wards are holding this program in eight places. Out of this, in Mymensingh’s 33 wards in five places, in Faridpur in one place in 27 wards, and in Comilla metropolis in two places in 27 wards
