Dhaka Bureau: General Secretary of Awami League Obaidul Quader said that Awami League under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina is much more united and well organized than at any time in the past. Awami League is ready to give a befitting reply to domestic and foreign conspiracies, any organization in the name of movement and to stop the rise of communalism.

He said these things to the journalists after the Awami League paid tribute to Bangabandhu’s portrait at Dhanmondi-32 on the occasion of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu’s Homecoming Day on Tuesday (January 10).

Awami League General Secretary said, December 10 passed, Awami League did not deal? In 1971, 23 years of independence movement, we fought for the independence of Bangladesh under the leadership of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib. We achieved victory through the surrender of the Pakistani invading forces. But this victory was not completed until Sheikh Mujib, the hero of the victory, was imprisoned in Pakistan. Victory was incomplete in his absence. That incomplete victory was completed on 10 January 1972.

Obaidul Quader said, today’s pledge is an ideal state of Bangabandhu’s dream. That ideal state is our promise. We will establish that ideal state. Under the leadership of Bangabandhu’s daughter Sheikh Hasina, we will build the Sonar Bangla of Bangabandhu’s dream along the highway of development. On this day, our oath is to build a developed and prosperous Bangladesh in the year 2041, i.e. a smart Bangladesh.
