Dhaka Bureau: BNP’s mass rally program has been postponed to December 30. BNP Standing Committee member Nazrul Islam Khan told the media that due to the Awami League council, the mass rally will not be held in Dhaka on December 24 in response to their call.
He said that BNP will hold a mass rally on December 30 instead of December 24 to realize the 10-point demand. However, not only in Dhaka, the program will be celebrated on the same day throughout the country.
Earlier, BNP had announced the program of mass march on December 24 across the country from the divisional mass meeting in Dhaka. However, Obaidul Quader requested BNP to change the date of the program as Awami League’s national conference was held in Dhaka that day.
BNP sources said that instead of December 24, BNP has reached a consensus with like-minded parties to hold mass rally program simultaneously on December 30. A policy decision was taken on this matter in the virtual meeting of the BNP Standing Committee on Monday itself.
