The Crime Desk: Seven dead bodies wrapped in black polythene were found at Rupganj in Narayanganj. The body belongs to Jasim Uddin Masum, a businessman from the Paschim Shastapur area and the owner of Chand Dyeing in Fatulla. A woman named Ruma Akhtar (38) has been arrested by the police in this incident.

Jasim Uddin Masum is the son of deceased Alek Chan of the West Shastapur area of the Fakulla police station of Narayanganj district. Three more bodies of Jasim Uddin Masum were recovered in this incident on Thursday.

Jasim Uddin Masum’s elder son, Obaidul Islam Shibu, said they lived as a family in the Bashundhara residential area of the capital. From there, on the afternoon of November 10, his father, Jasim Uddin Masum, left his house and went to Gulshan in his own car. He then released his private driver. The driver was told by his father that he would go to the factory in Narayanganj in another car. Since then, he has been missing. However, since he did not return home at night and his mobile phone was switched off, Obaidul Islam Shibu lodged a complaint with Gulshan police station on November 11.

Gulshan police station SI Md. Rashed, GD’s investigating officer, said industrialist Jasim Uddin’s last location was seen in Kafrul. After that, there was no trace of him.

The eldest son of the deceased also said that he identified his father’s body by seeing some traces of a beard, nails, and left leg. My father has received the Kar-Bahadur award several times as the best taxpayer. He is an industrialist. We have many business establishments, including Chand Dyeing Factory. We do not know that anyone has enmity with Father. But my father was killed in a planned manner.

According to the police, after the recovery of seven pieces of the body of industrialist Jasim Uddin Masum, the owner of Chand Dyeing, on Thursday, the lower part of the right leg, the thigh, and the part of the chest were recovered. Apart from this, the liver, lungs, and umbilical cord have been recovered. A woman named Ruma Akhter (38) has been arrested by the police in this incident.

Industrialist Jasim Uddin Masum has five stab wounds under his eyes. In addition, there is an injury to the scalp. He had several broken teeth. It is believed that after killing him elsewhere with sharp weapons, the pieces were filled in polythene bags and left here. In this regard, SI Jahangir Alam filed a murder case at Rupganj police station as the plaintiff.

Liaqat Ali, OC of Rupganj police station, said that it was a planned murder. More than one person may be involved in this murder. His body was dumped in Rupganj after being killed elsewhere. A woman named Ruma Akhter has been arrested in this incident. For the sake of the investigation of the case, the details cannot be given right now. However, the police are active in recovering the necessary tools, including the sharp weapons used in the murder.

It should be noted that a local rickshaw puller smelled bad while washing his hands in the lake water on the side of the Kanchan-Kuril road last Wednesday (November 13). Later, when he called some other locals, they found the bags wrapped in polythene. On receiving the information, the police came and recovered the body parts in three separate black polythene bags and sent them to Narayanganj General Hospital.
