Dhaka Bureau: Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said, I do politics; that’s why I can’t go to Buet. What kind of law is it? What kind of rule is it?
He said this in an exchange meeting with the leaders of Chittagong division at the Dhaka district Awami League office in Tezgaon of the capital on Sunday (March 21) morning.
Speaking about the protest of Buet students, Kader said, What happened that day? No one went there to hold any political program! There was no political program.
He further said that, in the name of stopping student politics, BUET will be transformed into a factory of apolitical-militancy so that it does not happen. We are investigating, and if something like this is found, the government will have to take action.
Sheikh Hasina has adopted a policy of zero tolerance against misdeeds and corruption and said that we are moving forward with that policy. Today, many of our workers have been convicted in the trial for Biswajit’s murder. Then we spared no one in the killing of Abra in Buet.
