Dhaka Bureau: The BNP has called a countrywide morning-evening hartal on Tuesday to demand the resignation of the government and the re-establishment of a non-partisan caretaker government system during the election.

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said this in a virtual press briefing yesterday afternoon. Rizvi said that the resignation of the illegal Awami government, the re-establishment of a non-partisan caretaker government during the election period, the release of BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and better medical treatment abroad, and the release of BNP leaders and activists, including BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, will be held on Tuesday morning and evening on the initiative of BNP and like-minded parties. A strike will be observed.
