Dhaka Bureau: The BNP and like-minded parties have called a strike next Monday (December 18) to demand the fall of the government. On this day, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., the strike program will be observed all over the country.
Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, senior joint secretary general of the party, announced this in a virtual press conference on Saturday (December 16).
The BNP-Jamaat and parties in the simultaneous movement have been holding blockades and hartal programs since October 28, demanding the resignation of the government, elections under a non-partisan government, and cancellation of the schedule.
It may be noted that the last 36-hour blockade called by BNP ended on December 13 at 6 p.m.
