Dhaka Bureau: The hearing of the application seeking a ban on the political program of the party until the final settlement of the case regarding the registration of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami is being held today.
On Monday (November 6), the matter was placed in order number 6 for hearing on the agenda of the bench headed by Chief Justice Obaidul Hasan.
Earlier, the Appellate Division fixed November 6 for the hearing of the petition seeking a ban on the party from holding all kinds of political programs until the final settlement of the Jamaat’s registration case. Apart from this, the contempt of court petition will also be heard today for demanding registration by holding a rally while the case is pending in court.
On June 26, an appeal was filed in the Appellate Division seeking a ban on holding all kinds of political programs, including processions and gatherings of the party, until the final settlement of the case related to the registration of Jamaat-e-Islami.
