Dhaka Bureau: Miscreants set fire to a bus of Achim Paribahan in Meradia, the capital. Sabuj Mia (30), a transport worker, was burned in the fire. Meanwhile, the bus driver lost control, and the bus fell into a ditch on the side of the road.
The incident took place in the Meradia Banshapati area around 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, November 5. Sabuj was rescued and admitted to the Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.
Dagdha Sabuj Mia and her relatives said that she lives in the Merul Badda area with her family. He is the bus driver for Ramzan Paribahan. In the morning, Ashim left home and was going to his destination by bus. On the way, a miscreant boarded the bus and set fire to the side of the gate in the Meradia Banshapati area. Then, while getting down from the bus, Green’s body caught fire. Meanwhile, the bus driver lost control, and the bus fell into a ditch. Locals rescued him and first took him to Faraji Hospital. After getting the news, his relatives admitted him to the burn institute.
Burn Institute emergency department doctors said that 28 percent of Green’s body was burned. His condition is serious. He has been admitted.
