19 more leaders of the BNP are banned for life

Barisal Correspondent: The BNP has expelled the former Chhatra Dal leader Kamrul Ahsan Rupon from the party for life, calling him Mirzafar, for defying the party’s decision and running for the post of mayor in the Barisal City Corporation election. Besides, 18 other leaders who took part in the election have also been expelled.

The matter was confirmed in a letter signed by BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Sunday afternoon.

In the letter given to Kamrul Ahsan Rupon, it is mentioned that BNP gave a show cause notice on June 2 for participating in the Barisal City Corporation election to be held on June 12, breaking the party decision. But as the reply to the notice was not satisfactory, Rupon was expelled for life.

Apart from this, the Center issued a show cause notice to 18 BNP leaders who participated in the councilor elections. If their answer is not satisfactory, or if they do not answer, they are banished for life.

The leaders expelled for life are the three joint conveners of the Barisal Metropolitan BNP convening committee: councilor candidate Habibur Rahman Tipu from Ward No. 6, Harun Or Rashid of Ward No. 9, and Shah Aminul Islam Amin of Ward No. 19. Apart from this, the current convening committee members of BNP in Mahanagar, Salim Hawladar from Ward No. 9, Jahanara Begum from Ward No. 2, Selina Begum from Ward No. 8, and Rashida Parveen, who participated from Ward No. 10, are also participating.

Ward No. 18 BNP member secretary of the city Ziaul Haque Masum, candidate of the same ward, organizing secretary of the South District Volunteers Party, Jaber Abdullah Sadi, candidate of the same ward, former president of Barisal District Tanti Dal, Kazi Mohammad Shaheen, former organizing secretary of the 18th ward BNP Monirul Islam, former BNP of the city No. 3 ward Senior President Habibur Rahman Farooq, Senior Vice President of Ward No. 9 Juba Dal Syed Humayon Kabir Linku, Former Vice President of Mahanagar Svechsevak Dal from Ward No. 15 Siddikur Rahman, Joint General Secretary of Ward No. 22 Mahila Dal Jasmine Samad, former president of Ward No. 24 BNP and former vice president of Mahanagar, Feroz Ahmed, No. 26 Ward BNP former president Fariduddin Howladar, and Ward 28 BNP former general secretary Humayan Kabir

Earlier, nine BNP leaders were expelled for life in Khulna. Earlier, 29 BNP leaders were expelled from the party in Gazipur.
