Own Correspondent: The police have arrested 3 thieves along with the seizure of stolen gold ornaments, cash, dollars and burglary tools in the case of theft at the lawyer’s house in Jessore Chachra. On Thursday (May 4) afternoon, when they went to exchange dollars in front of Sonali Bank, they arrested 2 members of the thief gang and seized 07 100 US dollars.
The arrested are- Bappi Molla (23), father-deceased Babu Molla, mother-Poli Begum, uncle-Bejpara Sadek Darogar Mor, Zahirul Islam Tanveer (25), father-Tarikul Islam, mother-Jasmin Sultana uncle Raipara and Isharat Sardar. (25), Father – Khokon Sardar, Mother – Tchiran Begum, Sang – Bejpara Akbarer Mor, Sarva Thana Kotwali District Jessore.
According to the details of the incident, someone in Dalmil Chanchra under Kotyali Model Police Station of Jessore. SM Nasir Alam left his rented house on April 18 to visit Amzhupi in Meherpur district during the Eid holiday. After Eid, on April 24 at 09:00 AM, the tenant returned home and found that the household items were in disarray, the adjustable fan in the kitchen was broken, the cupboard was broken, gold ornaments, cash and 700 US dollars were stolen by unknown thieves.
In this case, when lawyer Nasir Alam filed a statement as a plaintiff, Kotyali Model Police Station Case No-04 Tang-01/05/2023 Section-457/380 Penal Code was established.
Due to the sensational nature of the incident, the LIC team of the DB entered the field under the supervision of the officer in charge of the district intelligence wing, Rupun Kumar Sarkar, under the direction of the district police superintendent Praloy Kumar Jowardar. LIC team Constable Abdul Baten identified the gang of thieves and a team led by SI Shafi Ahmed Rier arrested 2 members of the gang and seized 07 100 US dollars in front of Sonali Bank.
Later, according to their information, Bappi Molla, known as the notorious Siddhel thief Spiderman, was arrested and his possession of cash and gold rings were recovered. Later, stolen gold ornaments were seized from the house of Isharat and Tanveer who were arrested.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the arrested accused are members of an organized gang of thieves. They broke the ventilators of various houses in Jessore city and suburbs and entered the houses in the middle of the night and committed theft.
There are 07 Sidhel theft cases against the arrested notorious thief Bappi Mollah.
