Dhaka Bureau: Bhatara police arrested a youth from Bashundhara, a residential area of the capital. Nafiz Mohammad Alam was interviewed in a documentary about the arrested youth by Deutsche Welle’s RAB.
On Monday morning, the Deputy Commissioner of Gulshan Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police, Abdul Ahad Nafiz, informed reporters about the arrest.
Police officer Abdul Ahad said, “There was an arrest warrant against Nafiz in an old case. He was arrested yesterday evening. He will be sent to court today.
He said that during the arrest, full, half, and empty bottles of foreign liquor and a motorbike with police stickers were seized from Nafiz’s house.
The officer-in-charge (OC) of Bhatara Police Station, ABM Asaduzzaman, said that the police have filed a drug case against Nafiz in this incident today.
Earlier, Nafiz was arrested in November 2021 in a RAB operation. At that time, RAB was informed about the recovery of drugs from Nafiz’s house.
