Dhaka Bureau: As a part of the simultaneous movement, the BNP will hold human chains in the capital and across the country at the metropolitan and district levels. This human chain will be aimed at protesting against the increase in the price of electricity, rice, daal, oil, agricultural materials, and educational materials, the resignation of the current government, the election of a non-partisan neutral government, and the unconditional release of Begum Khaleda Zia. A human chain will be organized from Jatrabari to Tongi Bridge in Dhaka for one hour today from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on the initiative of the Dhaka Metropolitan North and South BNP.
According to a press release from the central office of the BNP, there will be a human chain across the country from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday at the metropolitan and district levels. Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and members of the Standing Committee, along with central leaders, will participate in it. There will be a peaceful human chain from Abdullahpur (Tongi Bridge) to the airport, the Yamuna Future Park, Bada, Rampura Abul Hotel, and Malibag Railgate under the initiative of the Dhaka Metropolitan North BNP. At the same time, Dhaka Metropolitan South BNP will organize a human chain from Malibag Railgate to Mouchak, Shantinagar, Kakrail, Naypaltan, Fakirapul, Arambagh, Motijheel Shapla Chattar, Ittefaq, Tikatuli, and Jatrabari.
A human bond of like-minded people
Today, Saturday at 11 a.m., the Demokratiya Manch Paltan intersection and Gano Forum and the Bangladesh People’s Party will jointly form a human chain on the road in front of the party’s central office at Arambagh. At 11:30 am, 12 party alliances will form a human chain near the Vijayanagar water tank, a Nationalist-like-minded alliance in front of the Al-Razi Complex in Vijayanagar, and a like-minded professional democratic alliance in front of the National Press Club. At 3 p.m., LDP will hold three separate human chains in front of the party’s central office near FDC, in front of Subastu Tower in Badda, and near the Jatrabari flyover.
