Crime Reporter: Kotwali police raid with 35 kg of cannabis. Police have arrested a ganja dealer named Russell (22). He was arrested from Broiler Colony area under Kotwali police station of the city yesterday (02 November) at 12:30 pm.
The matter was confirmed by Jahedul Kabir, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kotwali Police Station.
He said, “I came to know that a ganja dealer is waiting for the sale of ganja in Broiler Avenue Colony area. On the basis of such information, a raid was carried out at 12:15 on Wednesday night, and the notorious ganja dealer Russell was arrested with 35 kg of ganja.
He also said, “The preliminary investigation revealed that cannabis is purchased wholesale from Comilla and sold at retail prices in different areas of Chittagong city. A case has been registered against him under Madhak Act.
