The Crime Desk: The CID of West Bengal has recovered some meat from the septic tank of the BU-56 flat in Sanjeeva Abasan, New Town, Kolkata. It is assumed that this is the flesh of the fragmented body of Anwarul Azim Anar, Member of Parliament of Jhenaidah-4 Constituency.
CID received this information from Kolkata on Tuesday (May 28). It is known that so far, the CID of West Bengal has recovered body parts weighing about 4 kg from that septic tank.
The investigation said that the DNA of the piece of meat found will be tested. Then it can be confirmed whether it is MP Anar’s body or not.
Siddheshwar Mondal, an eyewitness and housing sewage system worker, said the meats were kept in a glass jar with salted water. The pieces of meat are like pakoras. The CID has already confirmed that these meat parts were thrown by the killer butcher Jihad Howla in the washroom.
Meanwhile, in response to questions from journalists at the secretariat, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan said that we do not have any clear information about his (MP) body. We are not sitting down and continuing to strive.
In response to the question of how the judicial process will proceed if the body is not found, the minister said that there will be no complications. Because those who killed have confessed. I hope something will be found. Apart from that, the jurists will explain it.
Member of Parliament for Jhenaidah-4 Constituency Anwarul Azim Annar went to India for treatment on May 12. Then the news came: on May 13, he was tricked and killed in a residential building in the Newtown area of Kolkata, and the killers took the body into pieces and threw it in a trolley bag at different places.
Six people have been arrested in India and Bangladesh in this incident, but the mastermind, Akhtaruzzaman Shaheen, is absconding in the United States.
