The militant group has called on Muslims worldwide to avoid the football World Cup to be held in Qatar.
Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, the Yemeni branch of the al Qaeda militant group, has criticized Qatar for bringing corrupt individuals, homosexuals, sowers of corruption and atheism to the Arabian Peninsula. In a message, the militant group noted that the World Cup event was working to divert attention from the “occupation and oppression of Muslim countries”.
