But so far, the party’s nomination form has not been collected by the leader of the opposition in the 11th Parliament and the main sponsor of the Jatiya Party, Roshan Ershad, and his son Saad Ershad, the current MP of Rangpur-3 constituency.
It is known that the mother and son did not collect the party nomination form as they did not get seats according to their needs and preferences. As a result, their participation in the elections has become uncertain if the deadline for the submission of nomination forms is not extended. Although there is no complication with the nomination of Roshan Ershad and his constituency (Mymensingh-4), Basically, this complication has arisen because Roshan Ershad’s preferred Rangpur-1 and Rangpur-3 constituencies were not given concessions.
Jatiya Party’s Roshan Ershad fans say that Roshan Ershad’s son Saad Ershad was nominated for the Rangpur-3 seat, and Mosiur Rahman Ranga, former secretary general of the party, was asked for five more seats. But party chairman GM Quader is not willing to give any concessions in Rangpur-1 and Rangpur-3 constituencies. Saad Ershad was proposed to be given a Mymensingh-7 seat by GM Quader. But Saad Ershad in no way agreed to give up the Rangpur-3 seat of his father, Hussain Muhammad Ershad. As a result, the meeting between Roshan Ershad and GM Quader ended without any agreement on Sunday.
Roshan Ershad supporters say that Roshan Ershad and Saad Ershad have taken the initial decision not to participate in the 12th parliamentary elections without getting seats according to their needs and preferences. Now there is only one hope: if the government takes the initiative for reconciliation, then Roshan Ershad can participate in the elections. If not, Roshan Ershad may officially announce a boycott of this election.
Roshan Ershad’s political secretary, Golam Masih, said, How will we participate in the election? They (GM Kader) are not giving us the nomination form. Due to their obstruction, Madam and her son cannot participate in the election.
Former Secretary General of Roshan Ershad Panthi and Jatiya Party, Mosiur Rahman Ranga, said, Roshan Ershad has asked for nominations from Rangpur-1 for me and Saad Ershad from Rangpur-3. At the same time, seats were sought for Roshan Ershad’s political secretary Golam Masih, the party’s former Mymensingh district president, KR Islam, former presidium members Kazi Mamunur Rashid and Habibullah Belali, and joint general secretary Iqbal Hossain. But they agreed to seat three people. Again, they did not agree to give Saad Ershad a seat in Rangpur-3. So how do we participate in the election?

Japa GM cadre leaders say that Roshan Ershad was offered three seats on behalf of the GM cadre. Roshan Ershad, Saad Ershad, and the former president of Mymensingh district, KR Islam, were mentioned there. However, Saad Ershad was asked to contest from Mymensingh and not Rangpur. But they did not agree. If they want, they can still collect the party nomination forms of these three people. But the nomination form will not be given for the rest.
General Secretary of the Jatiya Party, Mujibul Haque Chunnu, said that Golam Masih is not a member of the Jatiya Party. His words don’t matter. Why do we nominate them? However, Madam Roshan Ershad-Saad Ershad’s nomination is reserved. I hope they will collect the nomination form today.
Fans of Roshan Ershad say that Roshan Ershad has become mentally weak after not meeting the Prime Minister several times. On the other hand, due to the compromise between the GM cadres and the government, they are now planning to remove Roshan Ershad from the party. A Roshan Ershad panthi leader who did not wish to be named said that the government does not need Roshan Ershad now. It means that the government thinks that there is no need for Roshan Ershad to control the GM cadre. So Roshan Ershad did not get to meet the Prime Minister again and again.
