Dhaka Bureau: The president of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) has called upon the parties in the Yugpath movement led by the BNP to hold a 48-hour nationwide blockade on November 12 and 13 (Sunday and Monday). Colonel (retd) Ali Ahmad (Vir Bikram).

In a statement on Thursday, he requested that the countrymen, including the leaders and workers of the LDP, carry out this blockade program peacefully.

Along with that, tomorrow, Friday, November 10, he spoke about the doa mahfil for all the leaders and activists who were killed and injured and all the garment workers who were killed in the agitation since Friday, November 28th.

Colonel Oli said the current authoritarian government has trampled on democracy. Banished justice and human rights. People are described as beasts. The country’s economy has reached a terrible level. There have been and continue to be false and absent cases against millions of opposition party leaders and activists. Money laundering continues, and corruption has reached high peaks.

He said that all senior leaders of the BNP have been detained in jail. Many have been sentenced in false cases. The main reason for this is that the leaders of these opposition parties are engaged in the struggle to establish the rights of the people. It is trying to realize the dream of the liberation war by restoring people’s human rights, economic rights, justice rights, and, above all, voting rights. Trying to free people from this situation. That is their only crime. Leaders did not take this responsibility only to achieve their interests. They have taken the initiative to liberate 18 crore people and make the country truly free of arbitrariness.

Colonel Oli said that the people of the country should think with a cool head. Today, Begum Khaleda Zia is in a coma. Acting Chairman of BNP Tariq Rahman is exiled abroad in a false case. So the question is whether the country will be destroyed through this one-party rule or whether the people of the country will have to stand up. The country should be made safe for future generations to devote themselves to the work of protecting the country.

He said that due to the inefficiency and disorganization of the current government, the lives of 80 percent of poor people, including farmers and laborers, have become miserable due to the gradual increase in the price of daily commodities. They suffer from restlessness and uncertainty. Please think of them. Please don’t sit back; think about the country for once.

Colonel Oli asked if you think we are on the right track. So please don’t take the car out for a few days. Stand on the streets and vote no-confidence against this government. Join our program if needed. Freedom is under threat; there is no time to sit quietly at home. We all have to answer to Allah. One day, everyone has to die. According to the government, what is the use of dying like an animal?
