Dhaka Bureau: Awami League Executive Parliament meeting will be held today. This meeting is very important before the announcement of the schedule. The party’s election management sub-committee can be formed from this meeting.
The meeting will be held at Ganobhaban, the official residence of the Prime Minister, on Thursday (November 9) evening.
Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will preside. The meeting will discuss and decide on the overall preparations, including the formation of the election management committee and subcommittee and the progress of drafting the party’s election manifesto.
The Election Commission has announced the schedule for the 12th parliamentary elections in the second week of this month. They have prepared to hold elections in the last week of December or the first week of January. In such a context, with less than two months before the election, today’s meeting is very important, some leaders of the policy-making level of the Awami League said.
According to them, the Awami League will jump into an all-out election war immediately after the schedule. Many important decisions will be taken from this meeting.
