Dhaka Bureau: The BNP has announced another 2-day blockade program to demand the resignation of the government. Next Wednesday and Thursday (November 8 and 9), the party will hold a complete blockade of railways, waterways, and roads for 48 hours.
BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi announced this program in a virtual press conference on Tuesday (November 6) afternoon.
Incidentally, in protest of the attack on BNP’s mass gathering in Dhaka on October 28 and the arrest of its leaders and workers, a morning-evening hartal program was held across the country on October 29. After that, the party held a 72-hour blockade program in the first phase from October 31 to November 2. Later, the party announced a 48-hour blockade in the whole country, including Dhaka, from 6 a.m. last Sunday to 6 a.m. Tuesday (November 5 and 6) in order to realize one-sided demands.
