International Desk: The AK Party’s strong ally, Nationalist Movement Party leader Devlet Bahceli, has urged Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to take quick action (military intervention) in the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian war.
He said that if Israel does not stop attacking the besieged Gaza in the next 24 hours, then Turkey should intervene in this war. On Sunday, Qatar-based media outlet Al Jazeera reported such information.
Devlet Bahceli, leader of the Nationalist Movement Party, said defending Gaza is the legacy of our ancestors. We should come forward to protect Gaza for historical, humanitarian, and religious reasons as well. Therefore, Turkey should take immediate steps to protect Gaza.
From the beginning, Turkey has taken a stand against the indiscriminate Israeli attacks on the besieged Gaza Strip. Erdoğan described the Israeli airstrikes in the region of 2.3 million people as “genocide”. In addition, the Erdogan administration has been announcing that it will work as a mediator to stop the war between Hamas and Israel.
In response to an unprecedented attack by Hamas on October 7, Israel bombed the besieged Gaza Strip of Palestine. In the meantime, about 4,500 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks.
