An Indian member of the International Olympic Committee, Nita Ambani, confirmed the matter through a video message. In addition, the Olympics’ own social media has announced the return of cricket.
Before that, cricket was last played at the Olympics in 1900. Seva’s Great Britain won the gold, and the French Athletic Club Union won the silver. Since then, cricket has not been played in this global competition. Cricket was held at the Athens Olympics in 1986, but due to not enough teams participating, no ball was played on the field.
