Sports Correspondent: The prize distribution ceremony of the three-day long ‘1st Western Engineering BOFGC Cup Golf Tournament-2023’ was held today (January 27) at BOF Golf Club Gazipur Cantonment.
BOF Golf Club President and Commandant BOF Major General Md Maksudul Haque, NDC, AFWC, PSC, MPhil attended as the chief guest and distributed the prizes among the winners.
Vice President of BOF Golf Club and other dignitaries were present at the time.
The tournament which started on January 25, 2023 was inaugurated by BOF Golf Club President and Commandant BOF Major General Md Maksudul Haque, NDC, AFWC, PSC, MPhil.
A total of 138 golfers including local and foreign players participated in the competition.
In the tournament Squadron Leader Habib won the title of Champion, Begum Neela Aziz Lady Winner, Master Sabrun Jamil Junior Winner, Master Ofif Iftekhar Ifrit Sub Junior Winner.
Bashir Ahmed, Managing Director of Western Engineering (Pvt) Limited at the closing ceremony; Deputy Managing Director Md. Sarwar Zaman Dhali; Chairman Tournament Committee BOF Golf Club; Senior military officers; Players and media persons were present.
The chief guest on the occasion expressed his hope that this type of competition will play an important role in the development of the country’s golf arena and thanked the Managing Director of Western Engineering (Pvt) Ltd. and all the tournament committee for this great initiative.
