International Desk: North Korea’s supreme leader, Kim Jong Un, is going to Russia to meet President Vladimir Putin this month. He will discuss the issue of arms supplies with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Citing US officials, the New York Times and CBS News reported this information on Monday.
Kim can go to the Russian city of Vladivostok by armed train from Pyongyang. Their meeting is likely to take place in the port city of Vladivostok on Russia’s east coast. Kim Jong Un and Vladimir Putin last met in April 2019. Kim met with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu last July.
Shoigu visited the massive military parade to mark the 70th anniversary of the end of the Korean War. Neither Russia nor North Korea have yet issued a statement on the US media report. Earlier, the White House reported progress in Russia-North Korea arms talks.
