International Desk: China has recently published a map in which Arunachal is included in South Tibet and Aksai in China. This information was reported in a report by Deutsche Welle. India strongly objected to the Chinese map. On Tuesday, India’s Foreign Minister S Jaishankar said, ‘China has shown the land of other countries on its map. This is their old habit. But this map of theirs will not change anything. That land is not theirs. Our government will stand firm on this matter. Another’s land cannot be continued as one’s own land. According to the report, last Monday (August 28) was China’s National Map Promotion Day.

This event has been celebrated there for a week. Chinese media reported that they published a map on the occasion of the event. The map shows that the entire Arunachal Pradesh, which is part of India, has been inserted into the Chinese map. Arunachal was renamed South Tibet and Aksai belonged to China. Not only this, Taiwan and a large part of the South China Sea have also been included in the map. Among which there are several countries in Southeast Asia.

Arindam Bagchi, spokesperson of India’s Ministry of External Affairs, said, “This is not the first time that China has done such a thing. They have done this at least three times before. India condemns this behaviour. Arunachal was, is and will remain an integral part of India. In fact, China had earlier renamed some regions of Arunachal. They claimed that those places were their part. Not only that, there was a skirmish between the armies of the two countries on the Chinese border near Tawang in Arunachal last December. After that, the stand-off of the armies of the two countries started there. The report also said that the heads of state of India and China have never held a bilateral meeting after the Indian Army’s clash with China in Ladakh.

After a long time, going to the BRICS meeting in South Africa, the ice of the relationship between the two countries melted a little. Narendra Modi and Xi Jinping held a bilateral meeting. There was a decision to de-escalate the border. Xi Jinping will also attend the G20 meeting in Delhi in September. There is also a possibility of a bilateral meeting between the two countries. According to Deutsche Welle, China’s map in this situation has created new tensions in geopolitical circles. Jaishankar, however, did not want to combine these two issues. He said, there is no reason to look at the two issues together. However, he strongly condemned the publication of China’s map.
