Sports Desk: There are only a few hours left for the ninth edition of the Women’s Football World Cup. This highest season of women’s football will run from today until August 20. For the first time, this year’s World Cup will be held jointly by New Zealand and Australia, with the largest number of teams. FIFA thinks that the 32-nation football tournament will create a new history.
In the first match of the day on Thursday (July 20) at 1 p.m., Norway will face host New Zealand in Auckland. 12 teams participated in the first Women’s World Cup held in China since 1991. Then, in 2011, it increased to 16 teams. Four years ago, in 2019, 24 teams played in the tournament held in France. This time, it has increased to 32.
