Dhaka Bureau: The government has reduced the price of edible oil by Tk 10 per liter. The maximum retail price of bottled soybean oil has been fixed at Tk 199 to Tk 189 per liter. Tapan Kanti Ghosh, senior secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, gave this information on Sunday (June 11).
He said that the price of packaged soybean oil has been reduced by 10 taka per liter to 189 taka, and the price of palm oil has been reduced by 2 taka to 133 taka per liter. The secretary said that the price of soybean and palm oil may decrease further before Eid-ul-Azha.
Tapan Kanti Ghosh said that if the price is stable in the international market, the price of sugar may also decrease.
