International desk: Democrat candidate Maura Hille (51) made history in the US midterm elections. He is set to become the nation’s first openly gay governor in Massachusetts. This information was given in a report of the British media BBC.

In 2014, Maura Hill was elected as the first openly gay attorney general. He was previously a civil rights attorney.

The BBC says Maura Hill is going to defeat Republican candidate Geoff Diehl by a landslide. He has received 12 lakh 46 thousand 705 votes so far. On the other hand, his closest rival, the Republican candidate, got more than 691,000 votes. Meanwhile, Maura Hill told the media that she would fight anti-LGBT laws as governor of the state.

Meanwhile, the results of many seats in the House of Representatives and the Senate are also out. And it shows that former President Donald Trump’s Republican Party is ahead in the election results of the House of Representatives of the United States Congress. And the current President Joe Biden’s Democratic Party is lagging behind.

As of this writing, Democrats have won 171 of the 435 seats. And Republicans got 196 seats. At least 218 seats must be won to get a majority in the House of Representatives.
