Sports Desk: The youth of Bangladesh started the mission of Junior Asia Cup hockey with a great victory. They beat hosts Oman 2-0 in their first match on Tuesday night. Tasin Ali and Zahid Hossain scored two winning goals for Bangladesh.
Tasin led the team (1-0) with a wonderful field goal in the 22nd minute of the match at the Salalah Sports Complex in Oman. And after 24 minutes, Zahid doubled the gap by scoring a field goal (2-0).

The players of Oman also took a hit on the post by breaking through the defense of Bangladesh. But they could not defeat Bangladesh goalkeeper Nayan. Apart from Bangladesh, Japan, Pakistan, and Malaysia won on the opening day on Tuesday. Japan beat Thailand 7-1 in the Pool ‘A’ match. In the other match, Pakistan beat Chinese Taipei 15-1. And in pool ‘B’, Malaysia beat Uzbekistan by a big margin of 8-1 goals.
