Congress ahead in Karnataka, BJP behind

International Desk: Congress is far ahead of the BJP in the Karnataka assembly election primary result. However, in some constituencies, there is a fierce fight between the Congress and the BJP. Congress is ahead in Karnataka as of last news. 113 seats are required to form the government in the 224-member assembly.

Congress is now ahead by 117 seats. BJP leads in 71 seats. Former Prime Minister Deve Gowda’s JDS is ahead in 30 seats. If this trend of back-and-forth continues, the Congress may once again form the government in Karnataka. But it will take some time for the situation to become clear.

As of writing this report, Congress is going to get 37 more seats than last time. If this trend continues, they can wrest 30 seats from the BJP and seven from the JDS. Congress has also managed to increase its vote share by five percent from last time.

On the other hand, Prime Minister Modi was the biggest face in the BJP’s campaign. He and Amit Shah have done the most public meetings and road shows.
