International Desk: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman and former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan has returned to his residence at Zaman Park in Lahore.
The former prime minister said, “The Inspector General of Islamabad Police made great efforts to prevent him from leaving Lahore.” He was kept waiting for three hours, and the police inspector claimed that it was too dangerous for him to come out.
Then he said to the inspector, ‘If you don’t let us go, then I will tell the whole of Pakistan that you have kidnapped us and forcibly detained us.’
“Under pressure, he finally allowed us to leave, and when we did, the road was completely empty; there was no danger of any kind,” he added.
Early on Saturday, Khan reached his Lahore residence. Earlier, he appeared before the Islamabad High Court (IHC) premises, where he was granted bail.
It should be noted that Imran Khan was arrested on the premises of the Islamabad High Court last Tuesday (May 9). He was arrested in the Al-Qadir Trust corruption case. There is extreme tension in the country surrounding his arrest. Yesterday, the Islamabad High Court granted him bail for two weeks.
