ICT training program to be launched in three hill districts – Nikhil Kumar Chakma

Rangamati representative: The 3rd meeting of the Chittagong Hill Tracts Development Board ‘Management Board’ for the financial year 2022-2023 was held on Wednesday (03 May) in the morning at the board room of the Chittagong Hill Tracts Development Board’s head office in Rangamati. In the meeting, the minutes of the board meeting held on January 29 were read, the progress of approved and adopted decisions was reviewed and the progress of the projects under implementation by the Chittagong Hill Tracts Development Board in the fiscal year 2022-2023 was reviewed.

He also said that many of the trainees have already been able to earn foreign exchange through financing. In the future, ICT training programs will be launched in three hill districts. As a result, the youth will gain skills in ICT as well as contribute to self-employment.

After that, with the permission of the president, the past management board members presented the minutes of the previous meeting, the implementation of the decisions taken and the progress in detail. The project managers and executive engineers of the projects under the board’s control and the projects under the code no. 22001100, 22000900 or the scheme and the project managers of the projects approved by the planning commission under the board’s control showed the progress of the overall implementation in detail on April 25.

During this time, the progress of the design and preparation of the headman office of the three hill districts and the progress of the ICT project were discussed.

The District Administrators of Rangamati, Bandarban and Khagrachari Hill Districts and the representatives of the three Hill District Councils appreciated the development activities of the Board for direct public involvement and the visibility of various developmental activities and expressed their thanks and gratitude to the Board.

The project on providing sustainable social services in the Chittagong Hill Tracts area under Chittagong Hill Tracts Development Board is going to be completed on June 30. After the completion of the project, till the approval of the new project, how to keep the 4 residential schools running under this project was discussed in detail.

At the end of the discussion, the chairman thanked the District Administrators of the three hill districts and the representatives of the three hill district councils for presenting important views in the meeting.

Sahiduzzaman, Member Implementation Mohammad Haroon Or Rashid (Deputy Secretary), Assistant Planning Officer and senior officials of the board were present.
