Dhaka Bureau: The World Bank will give 6,000 crores as budget support to Bangladesh. Bangladesh Bank Governor Abdur Rauf Talukder said that this money will be available within the month of June.
The Governor is currently leading the delegation of Bangladesh to the spring meeting at the World Bank headquarters in Washington, DC.
He said, We are working with 500 million dollars. which is in the final stage. We will talk about that. Once this is done, we hope to get the funding before June 30.
The governor said that the consumers of Bangladesh will soon reap the benefits of reduced prices for goods around the world. But it will take some time. Consumers are expected to benefit when the rupee and dollar stabilize.
It is reported that on the first day of the meeting, Abdur Rauf Talukdar discussed the latest economic situation with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank.
